Super inspiring read!!!

No hyperbole - How To Remake The World Neighborhood By Neighborhood is the perfect book for me right now! I'm new to my community and working to establish roots while giving back to the community.

Of course, I have no clue where to start. I have minimal experience with organizing. This area is relatively new to me. There's tons of conflicting and overlapping issues - gentrification, increased unhoused population, affordability, mental health issues, lacking public services.

While not an immediate antidote, this book is a great culture mover that dives deep to the root of our decaying society. This book perfectly fits my theory of change (tldr - we need more caring) and told me exactly what I needed to hear.

It's definitely a great primer for anyone interested in local organizing or serving locally with a purpose. It's not an instruction guide, so I'll have to take the learnings and figure out how to apply them to my community. Hopefully Community Renewal International has some training courses… 🤞🏾
